Dude... I did two 60 minute long massages today and made more in 2 hours than I would in 3 days working 8 hours paid minimum wage...PLUS $17.00 just in tips!!! Sweeeeeet. I love it when people are generous tip givers. It makes my day.
Of course it's all going to pay bills...oh the joys of growing up.
I have several different job oppertunies at the moment so please pray that God gives me wisdom and guides me down the right path.
I'd like to do massage part time and something else, receptionist or childcare maybe, part time.
We'll see. -
Me, alone, + 25 three year olds = INSANE.
I wouldn't go back there if you paid me a million dollars a day, much less mini-mum wage.
Thankfully during my lunch break yesterday I had 3 people call me back from other jobs where I had submitted my resume, and I am interviewing at 2 of them today.
One's a massage therapist job and the other is a receptionist job. Hopefully one of those will work out, I am so tired of failing, job wise.
Plus I'm still working for that chiropractor and family christian a little bit, so at least i won't be TOTALLY broke.
Today I am doing a one hour massage for one of that chiropractors patients, and making more in one hour then I did in 8 hours at the daycare. :-p
It's all good. GOD is good. -
Wow, I went from having NO job to having 3 jobs!
Starting tomorrow I am going to be working full time, monday through friday from 8am-5pm at a child development center in cartersville, and I'll be working every once in a while in the evenings/weekends as a substitute at family christian store and doing massage therapy for a chiropractor in kennesaw.
It's awesome how God surprises us with blessings sometimes when we least expect it. -
Yesterday was a good day...
I slept in
drank lots of coffee(mhmm!)
watched a million episodes of degrassi jr high, degrassi high, and degrassi old school(I am SUCH a degrassi nerd! haha)
went to band practice...getting ready for our "big show" at green ridge stables next weekend..
all the kids that go there(100-200 of em) are dressing up in costumes and so are their horses!!
So we're(the band) all going to wear plaid shirts and jeans as our costumes, lol. (Leah's going to let me borrow one of her millions of plaid shirts, lol, I love Leah!)
It should be fun. And anyone that wants to can come, so you should come and bring everyone, even your mom.
And your horse, if you're lucky enough to have one of those! (or bring your "hourse" too! inside joke)
I also went with my sister to GMI yesterday and got a FREE one hour massage... = bliss.
Today I start working at Family Christian Store...(isn't it ironic that family CHRISTIAN store is open on SUNDAYS now?! That's insane...)
Although ironically enough my first day won't be at my store in kennesaw, but at the one in tucker, helping them move. So that should be interesting. Moving appears to be my lot in life. lol (this'll be like my...50th time moving/helping someone move)
Whats' really funny is that I worked for family christian store once before, when I was 17, and my first week then I helped the store in kennesaw move from inside the mall to where it is now.
Isn't it weird that both times I worked there, though 7 years apart, during my first week I had to help them move? Talk about a major case of dejavou(yeah I know I totally didn't spell that right, but i don't care, lol)
So yeah I'm working all day today and then going to my dad and brother in law's birthday party at my sisters house tonight.
It's going to be a long day...but hopefully a good one.
Pray that God helps me adjust to working retail again, I worked retail for like 5 years when I was a teenager, but I HAVEN'T worked retail in like 4 years so it's going to be interesting adjusting back into that..pray that God gives me...uhm....patience? And energy. lol.
It's hard working again after not...working..for so long. I've become a bit lazy as of late, which I am not happy about, so it's good I'll be working again, It'll just be an adjustment after being lazy for so long. lol. So pray!!!

I am now currently employed at Family Christian Store on barret parkway.
I'll be working next week at the store in tucker though, helping them move..then I'll start at barret the week after that.
Retail isn't something I want to do FOREVER, but it'll do till I find something else...plus I'll be able to get discounts on all the christmas presents I buy there..
I'll just have to try hard not to spend all my money on books and CD's for myself, lol!
