This weekend was soooooo much fun it went by in a blur...
I spent the night with Mel, Lauren R, Mandie and Mel's mom on friday night and we helped them finish the last touches on the flowers and food for Mel's wedding, and Mandie gave us all french pedicures...
I stayed up till 3am and woke up at 5:30am(ugggh!!)
Then we headed to Lauren's parents hotel where Lauren's mom did the bride and bridesmaids hair and Mandie did our make up, then we headed to the church to get dressed and took pictures.
The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and I loved all the songs Mel and Shaun picked out. It was very focused on God which I thought was awesome.
Afterwords was more picture taking and the reception which was a blast...I put on my switchfoot hoody over my bridesmaid dress as soon as we got to the reception cuz I had jokingly told mel i was going to do that and she was like "do it, that'd be really funny" so I did.
I danced my first slow dance(thanks to Mel who made us all dance a bridel party dance, lol) and made it through with out stepping on the guys toes...haha thank goodness! I probably looked funny slow dancing in a bridesmaid dress with a switchfoot hoody on but I don't care, hahaha.
And then I danced a couple of fast dances afterwords but I had more fun WATCHING everyone else dance, there were some pretty crazy dances/dancers, I laughed REALLY hard...
And I did take some pictures which I will upload and post on here later when I get a chance.
After the reception I went with my mom and got a much needed massage (after sleeping on the couch and getting only 2 hours of sleep I was pretty sore)
Then I met up with Jeanie, Derek and Aaron at the mall..Man it was CROWDED, you'd think christmas was next week or something..speaking of which I'd better get started on my presents...
After the mall I met up with Nancy and Dan and we went over to Nathan and Lindsey's house and watched the new "house of wax" which was absolutely horrible, though I heard the old version is better so I'm gonna check it out.
I spent the night with Nancy after that and visited she and Dan's church, Freedom Chapel, the next morning so I could hear Nancy sing for the first time on the praise team. She sounded wonderful like I knew she would! And I really enjoyed all the worship songs and the preaching, I'm going to try and go back there alot.
Last night I visited Oak Leaf church in cartersville(which is a church being planted by West Ridge church in paulding county)I really enjoyed it as well, and for now they only have night time services so I might go to Dan and Nancy's church in the morning and then go to oak leaf in the evening on sundays for now.
I'm so happy I have two churches I enjoy going to now, for a while there I couldn't find ANY churches I liked and that was frusterating.
Well I've rambled on long enough, if anyone is actually still reading, thank you. *hugs*
Peace,
<>< Amy
